I was born and raised in north-central Wisconsin and continue to draw upon the beauty of the Northwoods that has influenced me and my writing since childhood. I’m thankful to my parents for getting us kids outside in those early years.

Already as a grade-schooler, I knew I wanted to write. I remember walking to a bookshelf in the small rural classroom, picking up a novel and whispering to myself, “One day, I’m going to write one of these.”

My favorite places to be is in the saddle, sitting in the deerstand and fishing boat, and especially around the campfire with good company.
